Lights, camera, action!

Hello all!!

I forgot to tell you last week that we bumped into a TV crew in the middle of the wood! Of course mummy insisted on a photo of this for the blog. I was very good and kept quiet despite my urge to make some noise to get in the TV show which is about a werewolf and will be shown on CBBC called 'Wolfblood' and is being filmed in Chopwell woods. The nice director man thought I was very cute and was impressed with my silence so let us watch very close up.

Along with my new media contacts, I've been making friends with someone else too, my friend Giraffe that my cousin Ellie bought me. He is very soft and I am now starting to play a bit more with my soft toys

I'm also getting more and more familiar with my books. This one looked good enough to eat!!

I love to chew. Books, teething rings, bits of grass (well it came out of my poo so it must have got in there somehow), anyone's fingers, and more recently apple peeling!!

I have now officially outgrown my bouncy chair when I nearly catapulted myself out of it!

And I'm also now splashing in the bath!!

What fun!

Hello my friends!

This week has been a pretty ordinary week but that has given me some time to learn some new games.

The first one involves me putting my fingers in mum's mouth and she chews on them and I laugh a lot. The next is a game where I sit in my Bumbo seat and drop things off the side on purpose and watch mummy run around picking it up. I like to give her 0.3 seconds to pick it up before I complain. I have also become very ticklish much to my daddy's delight, so he keeps tickling me under the ribs whenever he can!

I am super strong in my neck now so my crawling practice is coming along so well. I now managed to get from the blanket on the floor and work my way around to the dvd recorder so I could get a better a look at it to figure out how to sabotage it when I'm a bit older. I'm not crawling but I can certainly roll and turn myself around on my tummy with my hands. Hard work for a little baby but not impossible!

I am now 15 lbs and growing all the time. I can wrap my fingers right the way round mummy's hand now!

See you soon! Vittorio xxx

A busy bank holiday weekend

Hi readers,

Phew! What a busy bank holiday weekend we've had. After all those walks last week (a couple of new pics below), we had lots of visits to make this weekend.

On Sunday, we first of all went to visit my new little friend Euan Christopher Potts who was only 10 days old. I was finally the big boy in the room!

Next we went to a leaving party for Daddy's boss. I liked it when a lady tickled my feet but generally it was a bit too noisy for me so I went to sleep for a bit. In the evening Auntie Colette came up to visit, chaffeured by Uncle Simon. It was my bedtime but I still had lots of smiles for her.

The next day I woke up mummy practicing my new sound 'boo'. I was getting very good at it but mummy seemed to want me to go back to sleep for some reason. Anyway I did a big poo to force her out of bed and change me and thankfully Auntie Colette was already up and she was a lot more fun at that time in the morning so we had some fun. Auntie Colette liked it when I pulled her hair very hard!

Also, Simon let me play a bit on his Ipad which was great fun. I think I'm going to like technology! We went for two walks on Monday, one ending in the pub which was full of babies and children on  bank holiday - it was more like a creche! I got walked around a lot by Auntie Colette and attracted many admiring glances. I also made sure to check out the baby changing facilities at the Pavilion which we were there!

Bye for now! Vittorio xxxx

A Walk in the Woods

This week I have been doing lots of walking in my sling while we watch Spring finally coming to Newcastle.

On Wednesday we went for Bella the dog's first walk off her lead in Chopwell Woods with Carys and Steve. She was very well behaved and wanted to stay so close to us that she nearly tripped daddy up a few times!

On Thursday I took mummy and Bella for a walk. Mummy looked a bit crazy with a baby in a sling and a doggy on a lead but we managed 15 minutes round the block and Bella was happier for this. On the way back home we visited Saltwell Park which is very pretty and I saw a playground that I would have liked to play in but mummy insisted that I was 'too small' (what a killjoy/guastafeste!). That evening we went on walk number three with daddy as he got home early so we went to the fields and woods near our house. We saw lots of wild primroses and bluebells but my favourites were the horsies. I stayed awake the whole way round which is pretty difficult for a baby when you're getting rocked so much!

Then today is was back to Chopwell Woods for another long walk (with a deviation to a nice pub for lunch). I was bored so played the jumping game in mum's arms and finally managed to pull over her drink after about 50 jumps. She didn't even know what I was up to until that point!! 1-0 to me!

In terms of my progress this week, I managed a double roll on the carpet in my room. I've also started trying to crawl but I always seem to end up further away from the object I like which is very annoying after a while. I'm getting very good with my hands now, especially pulling mummy and daddy's hair, face, eyes and necklaces. I'm also becoming confident with a rattle. I am talking a lot but no one seems to understand me. It might be because I sometimes forget to open my lips so just mumble a lot to myself. I am very strong now and managed to kick the water off the changing table this week. Mummy said 'Oh dear, never mind you didn't mean to', but then I laughed at her to make sure she knew that I had done it on purpose! It's great being a baby, I get away with everything!

Tomorrow  Auntie Colette and Uncle Simon are coming so I will give you my next installment as soon as I have more to tell you.

Lots of love, especially to my Nonno, Nonna, Grandma and Grandad xxxx
